Ala Kupono roughly translates to "the path of righteousness, the spiritual path, the right path" in Hawaiian. Trying to decide which path to take when launching your business takes research, knowledge and most important of all, experience. Ala Kupono is the idea that web development can be affordable, effective, and a major asset to your business without breaking the bank. Discovering which technology to use for your individual needs can be just as hard and expensive as building and maintaining the technology.
My name is Robert Eaton. I have been developing and maintaining websites, communities, start up companies and hundreds of online businesses since 1998. I have been a tech consultant for many internet pioneers over the years and know the industry inside out. I have seen development firms give outrageous quotes for websites, graphics, search engine marketing and other online services. I still nearly choke on my cup of tea when I hear some of the quotes coming back from other companies.
So over the years, my mission was to find a deployment path that was more affordable and easy for the client to master their publication needs without programming knowledge or outrageous license fees. To turn the table in favor of the client and create an alternative path for the web development and the management needs of small businesses or start up ideas. I call this the "Ala Kupono" or the "right path" for development, the fair path, the honest path...
